Ektara India is a group of media and arts professionals based in Delhi, India, involved in many activities of culture, arts, research and peacemaking. In the past, we have produced well known documentary films, music albums, multimedia and books, besides managing cultural events, academic symposia, and exhibitions.

Promoting music, culture, cinema, theatre and the arts via audio, video, Internet, print and other media, besides live events, workshops, seminars and exhibitions.

Encouraging and strengthen the cause of religious and social harmony, peace and tolerance by using cultural pluralism as a basic principle.

Ektara, literally meaning one string, is a traditional musical instrument played by folk musicians and mystics in much of
south Asia from Bengal to Afghanistan (in central Asia its called yek-tar). Ek tara can also mean ‘one star'.
