The musical experiments Khusro did in the courts may have also come handy in the Sama gatherings at Nizamuddin Aulia’s khanequah (monastery) – a platform that provided the grooming of a musical tradition that later came to be known as Qawwal Bachche, and continued to flourish for over six centuries.
